Our Story

Anthony Szura founded Black Sapphire Tattoo in 2019. After working for many tattoo shops and developing his artistic skills throughout the years, Anthony had a vision to open his own shop where his team of artists could freely express themselves. He wanted to create a safe and welcoming space where customers and artists alike could feel like family and enjoy their time in the shop together. With hard work and dedication, Anthony brought his vision to life. Black Sapphire Tattoo is now a leading tattoo shop in Madison that welcomes everyone to get high quality tattoos from a team of talented artists with over 30 years of combined experience.

As a leader, it is important to Anthony that his employees feel comfortable and are given the opportunity to create their best work. He does this by providing them with a positive workplace environment that encourages creativity. Tattooing is a unique profession because it allows both the artist and client to collaborate on a creative vision. I've been tattooing since May of 2002. I don't have a style I've specialized in yet, however I've been able to take on a large variety of projects. Custom designs, anime, floral, and Daggers are some of my favorite things I've done. When I'm not at the shop I like hiking and going to concerts.

Howdy guys! My name is Amber and I’ve been tattooing since March of 2024. I’ve been drawing ever since I was a kid, and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Graphic Design with a minor in Illustration from MIAD in 2019. I love doing bold lines and color in all the work that I do. I’ve wanted to tattoo for a long time and Black Sapphire Tattoo made everything possible for me. I love tattooing animals and anime related things as well but I also love doing traditional style tattoos. I’d love to tattoo you and make your ideas come to life!

Hey homies! I've been with Black Sapphire since Sept. of 2023. It's always been my favorite shop to come too and now I get to pursue my passion with them! I have an eternal love for body modification and getting to expand my knowledge and experience with it! I love tackling new challenges and getting to be creative and pushing myself with unique piercing placements and jewelry. I have a wide variety of work I can and am willing to learn to do! I also am experienced with piercing children's ears and I love making their first piercing experience into something fun and memorable. In my day to day I love creating art, watching anime and going to concerts! I'm looking forward to meeting and bedazzling you all!

Hello I am Dalany! I've been working at Black Sapphire Tattoo since July 2023. I'm really enjoying learning how to draw all types of styles and tattooing them as well! My favorite tattoos to do are anything with fun colors! I love doing floral work as well. I'm open to new clients and their awesome ideas! Can't wait to see you in my chair!
